We operate a door-to-door bus service to help elderly and less mobile residents of Bloxwich as well as Aldridge & Pheasey go shopping.
The service has been developed to help elderly & disabled residents who struggle to carry their shopping home using conventional bus services. The service is financially supported by TfWM.
Our modern well-equipped minibuses are all specially adapted to accommodate everyone including wheelchair users; and our friendly staff will be on hand to assist you to and from your door.
Registering for this service gives residents on occasions the opportunity to visit other places further afield such as Penkridge Market & Lichfield Town Centre.
If you or someone you know in or around Walsall could be helped by this service, please let us know as depending on feedback we may expand the shopper service into other areas.
Residents over 60 years of age and TfWM disabled pass holders who reside within the shaded areas on the map. Subject to availability holders may be accompanied by a carer.
The service costs £1 per return journey for holders of a TfWM Older Persons Travel Pass or a TfWM Disabled Travel Pass. Residents over 60 years of age and any accompanied carers can travel for £2 per return journey.
When you register to use the service, you will have the option of reserving a regular seat on the bus each week or you can just telephone us as and when you want to use us. We take your reservations up to 4pm the day before you want to travel. All reservations are subject to seats being available. You’ll need your TfWM pass to hand when registering.
Residents can travel up to twice a week. The map shows what days and times the bus collects in your area.
Due to a lack of members, there will be no trips on Mondays and Fridays. The days and destinations of the other trips may vary, if you need the latest details please contact us.
Residents in each area will have the opportunity every week to travel on one day to Asda and Bloxwich High Street and on another day to Sainsburys and Reedswood Retail Park.
Residents of the Aldridge catchment area can travel on Wednesdays to Aldridge Town Centre & Morrisons. Residents of the Pheasey catchment area can travel to both Aldridge on Wednesdays and Asda, Queslett on Thursdays and Fridays.
Although the door-to-door shopper was developed for residents who struggle to get to their shops, we want people who are mobile to feel able to use the service too.
We offer so much more than just transport, residents who use the service develop friendships with the other passengers and can also access the day trips out that we offer through our Let’s Chat project.
Every year we operate a programme of excursions during the summer months and pass holders who are registered with us can book a seat. If you’re interested in finding out more please contact us.
