Santa’s Grotto
Let’s Chat staff and volunteers opened the Walsall Bus Station Hub on Saturday 16th December for children to have a free visit with Santa. Santa, Cllr Richard Worrall greeted over 80 children during the day and gave out gifts. Walsall Buskers entertained visitors with a medley of Christmas songs played on their ukuleles.
We were also treated to a visit from Walsall’s Mayor Cllr Chris Towe who came to see the work the Let’s Chat Information Hub has been doing during our first 12 months of operation.
Thank you to Cllr Richard Worrall, our ‘elves’ and the Hub’s volunteers for their help during the day.
Donations
Activities, gifts and refreshments for Santa’s Grotto were kindly donated by local businesses and TfWM Bus Station staff.
Thanks to their generosity we were able to provide over 80 children with a free gift. Thank you to Morrisons Aldridge Community Champion, Morrisons Willenhall Community Champion, Blakemore’s Chilled Foods and Poundland Walsall for all their support.
A big thank you to Ken, one of Walsall Bus Station’s cleaners who donated all the coins found on the bus station floor during 2023 to our Santa’s Grotto.
